My biscornu for Gillie

Hi everyone! I heard from Gillie last week that she received my biscornu and loved it. I figured I'd go ahead and post a picture of what I sent to her. I stitched the GPA / MTV Design collaboration for Spring & Summer Biscornu and edged the piece using silk ribbon. Here are the front and the back:

Just look what a treasure I got this morning! Patti, don't worry - the package arrived safely!

I really like this gorgeous biscornu - the flowers are beutiful. And the reverse side is so interesting - I like the idea to use another fabric.

Patti also included hand-dyed fibers and ribbons. I have never tried silk, but now I have a chance! And what a wonderful Black Swan bead saver! I have never seen such thing, but I will use it - be sure.

My Biscornu Came

I just wanted to let you all see the absolutely gorgeous biscornu I received from CathyB along with the Crescent Color Threads and a lovely card. Thank you so much Cathy I really really appreciate it and love it to pieces. It's as if you read my mind and knew I loved pink and hearts and purple too and you are so much braver than me because I never would have stitched on black. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.




On the downside it still appears as if the biscornu I stitched has still not arrived. I don't know when I should start stitching a replacement. Here's hoping it arrives within the next week because if it doesn't I will definitely be stitching another.

Quick Apology to All!

I just want to quickly post an apology to all our members. I have been unavailable for the last several weeks because of work and some family matters that have required all my time and attention for the past few weeks. I had hoped everything would be resolved quickly but that has not been the case and it has dragged on longer than expected. I am now trying to go back through emails and posts to get everything up to date. As soon as I get the current exchange status figured out, I will announce the next exchange sign-ups - I'm figuring on Monday or Tuesday. Again, I am so sorry - I will try to make it up to everyone - and thanks so much for your patience!

Biscornu Sent...

...by post yesterday afternoon. Postmaster says it should arrive on Monday, but possibly Saturday! I'm so excited; hope she likes it!

Hi Girls!

I hope everything is ok! I was very worried and a litlle bit depressed, thinking in the results of my biopsy. Thanks God, everything all this mounths waiting was just a nightmare.

Finally the results came and is negative: i dont need to be afraid anymore...but i dont know where my nails are:-)

So, i would like to ask you, ladies, please take care about your breasts, touching frequently and dont be afraid if you wanna ask something to you Dr.

In May i will be back to update my blog and for our exchanges if you dont mind, ok?

Recieved my surprise

Hi Ladies
This is Maria from Manitoba, Canada. I have been away for home for awhile and won't be back for a bit yet. My husband says I recieved "some kind of stitching thing from Spain". Oh men :)
The only thing I'm expecting is my tiny treasure biscornu.
So I'm letting my partner know it has arrived but I can't post a picture at this time. Would you be able to post a picture of what you sent?

I received a lovely biscornu in the mail... the trouble is I can't read the handwriting on the note or the return address. I *think* it's from April but I'm not sure. Sharon must be busy since she hasn't had a chance to return my e-mail. I want to make sure I thank the right person but I didn't want to wait any longer to post. April, did you send this to me?

Ladies, Some Advice Please?

Hello, everyone!

I have made a beautiful (IMHO) biscornu for one of you special ladies, BUT...

When I took it to the post yesterday, the postmaster detected a problem with the direction: the "town/city" name is one thing, but the zipcode shows as being another city in the USPS records. He advised me to double check the address before mailing it out.

So, I sent a quick email to our dear Mod Sharon to ask her to check the direction, yet today there is no reply, and I have noticed that her blog has been quiet regarding new updates this month. SO, as she is probably quite busy lately (I do hope all is well), I thought I would ask you:

If you were my partner, would you want me to reveal my identity to verify your address? I am so excited to get this sent out, and was so sorry to have to bring it home with me from the P.O. yesterday.
